Chips strategy – Poker Strategy
based on the number of chips
The number of chips on the table influences the strategy
for Texas Hold’em no limit in a massive way. Especially
in online Poker rooms bad players can be detected because
they only bring a small amount of chips to the table.
If you are a poker expert, or if you want to act like
one, it’s advisable to take the maximum chips amount
to the table. Especially in view of the implied odds,
the calculative chances to win with the best hand, the
number of chips play a decesive role. If you set out a
draw, it’s always an advantage if there are many
chips on the table.
If you are out to get a draw, you can’t expect
much money if there are only few chips on the table.
Speculative hands are more profitable if the opponents
have big amount of chips. Otherwise this is not the
best strategy.
In principle games with high buy in’s are much
more interesting, because bluffs get more attractive,
because if you fail you don’t lose all your money.
If chip decks increase, there is also an increase in
bluffs observable. That does also mean that medium hands
lose in value. High chip decks do also imply that less
hands get played until the final showdown, and that
those hands which are played to the showdown are stronger
than usual.
